Bridging Digital Divides

The fast-paced and ever-changing digital landscape is both exciting and intimidating, leaving many communities behind their technology goals. In partnership with Transformational Prison Project (TPP) and Mutual Aid Eastie, MLCS is able to connect immigrant neighbors and neighbors re-entering the community after incarceration with technology to our Digital Literacy program.

With Chromebook laptops provided by Tech Goes Home, learners can practice their skills in the classroom and at home completely free of charge. Our instructors’ curriculum focuses learners on how to use digital finance tools, access job search platforms, and integrate technology into their daily lives. We are proud to be the only organization in East Boston to offer classes in English and Spanish.

English as Second Language (ESOL)

Thanks to the support from our partner English for New Bostonians, MLCS offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses with licensed ESOL Instructors Narda Peña and Antonio Lobo, providing the individual support each learner needs to thrive.

English class and civic education model that integrates English language learning and a collaborative, supportive classroom environment with online tools that enable self-paced, independent learning.

Due to high demand, our ESOL program is using a waitlist. Please complete the intake form so our instructors can keep you informed
