Repair Harm, Build Relationships
Our All Mens Restorative Circle explore a wide range of topics ranging from mental health and life challenges to goal setting and storytelling. Our community partner William Wallace facilitates a safe-space for participants to forge inter-generational connections where they can unlock their confidence, mutual understanding, and empowerment through meaningful conversation.
Modeled after the Talking Circles of North American-based First Nations and used to ease community integration on formerly incarcerated people, restorative circles are a non-punitive and non-hierarchical approach to conflict. Sessions are fluid, allowing participants to create and change guiding values that resonate with them.
Brain Break Thursdays
A reiki practitioner and licensed Mandela Yoga instructor, our Resident Services Coordinator Elba Oliva is intent on bringing mindfulness and movement to the community.
Including accessibility-friendly Mandela Yoga routines led by Elba and invigorating Zumba classes from our partner Dance Latin Boston, Brain Break Thursdays allows our residents and East Boston neighbors to prioritize their physical and mental healing.
