Front Desk Associate

Part-Time, 25 hours per week

$23 per hour

Description

The Front Desk Associate is critical in ensuring smooth operations and providing a welcoming environment for community members and MLCS staff. Someone in this position would be the first impression of the organization to any visitors of the office, with an ideal candidate having a community-centric outlook. The privacy of our clients is of the utmost importance, and discretion of all active and inactive cases is required.  

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with the case management team to schedule appointments, transfer cases to case managers, and update client case information. 

  • Maintaining and updating the information in client files and securing them in a locked cabinet when not in use. 

  • Update internal database program CiviCRM with Front Desk Associate and case managers’ tasks. 

  • Providing administrative support for clients and MLCS staff (e.g. printing, faxing, etc.). 

  • Ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors with a tidy front desk space and professional and compassionate demeanor. 

Qualifications

  • Any education level is accepted. 

  • Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), or willingness and ability to learn. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills. 

  • As many of our community members are primarily Spanish speaking only, a candidate with intermediate skills or fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
