Compensation: 23.00 per hour/30 hours per week

Warehouse & Delivery Assistant
The Warehouse & Delivery Assistant is based at our warehouse at 30 Northampton Street in Boston and reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. This hands-on position plays a vital role in our daily food rescue and distribution operations. Responsibilities include packing produce bags, stocking and organizing rescued food in refrigerators and warehouse storage areas, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, preparing orders for distribution, and driving the company van to deliver fresh produce to community partners throughout Greater Boston. The ideal candidate enjoys physical work, is organized and dependable, and is committed to helping ensure fresh food reaches the communities we serve safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and organize rescued produce and other food deliveries.
Stock and rotate food in refrigerators, freezers, and warehouse storage areas.
Pack produce bags and prepare customer and partner orders for distribution.
Load and unload the company van for daily deliveries.
Deliver fresh produce to community partners and customers throughout Greater Boston.
Verify delivery orders and maintain accurate delivery records.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and food-safe.
Assist with inventory counts and report low inventory or operational issues to the Warehouse Manager.
Follow all food safety, warehouse, and vehicle safety procedures.
Support other warehouse and distribution activities as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks preferred.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Experience in warehouse operations, food distribution, or logistics preferred.
