Made by Youth!

Fighting poverty means creating spaces where youth see themselves as agents of change in a local economy. Maverick Makers Pro, our makerspace, gives youth an opportunity to do just that. Youth build products, develop marketing and business skills, and experience what it feels like to bring their designs and creations into existence. It is a creative space that is wholly youth centered.

This journal was made for Revi!

Our journals are made right here in our teen-makerspace by youth in the community. Materials are locally sourced to decrease its carbon footprint. By purchasing this product, you are supporting spaces where youth experiencing poverty and loss of community have a sense of belonging that can be expressed with access to design and fabrication tools.

The covers are sewn by ‘Puntada,’ an East Boston immigrant woman’s sewing cooperative that is part of the Center for Cooperative Development and Solidarity-CCDS ecosystem.

The covers are reusable and reduce waste with replaceable text block inserts. It contributes to a healthier economy with its circular design.
