The Somerville Community Corporation (SCC) wants to thank you for your work and commitment by giving you this special gift. This journal is a gift that also gives back to our local communities. This journal was made by youth at Maverick Landing Community Services (MLCS) who run Maverick Makers PRO (MMPRO) a youth-led social enterprise. Youth laser cut and engrave the journal covers and make replaceable text blocks.

The covers are sewn by Puntada, an immigrant women’s sewing cooperative that is part of the Cooperative Center for Development and Solidarity (CCDS). Materials were sourced locally to reduce the journal’s carbon footprint. Click on the video to the left to see how it’s made!
