Nurturing Youth Leadership & Creativity
Our youth production workforce program has provided space for our teen participants to explore their interests and expand their creativity. Currently, youth are designing custom journals that they learn how to produce, market, and sell to local buyers in our community, while earning an income!
Using Tech to Power People
The digital and language divide keeps many skilled individuals from reaching their job goals. We begin by offering digital literacy in Spanish so participants can learn the tech skills needed to attend digital literacy-integrated English language classes for beginners, and then move on to intermediate-level courses. We are currently the only digital literacy class offered in Spanish in East Boston.
We also offer digital literacy classes in English to help participants understand how to use tech to search and find a job, learn new skills through online platforms, and better utilize tech to improve their lives.
Pandemic Response History
Promoting health through food, housing, and collective organizing.
Delivered over 1M pounds of food to East Boston since 2020
Named the 2020 City of Boston Community Champion.
Developed cross sectoral relationships with Northeastern University Law School and NuLawLab, a legal design innovation lab.
Launched the East Boston Housing Support Station, the only place where East Boston families facing evictions can count on legal representation from a team of law students from the Northeastern Law School Housing Advocacy Lab.

Food + Home + Jobs = Health
An Intersectional and Collaborative Approach
Having a food and a home are the two biggest indicators for community health. And having a living wage job or a means to make economic gains is essential for family wellness.
We deliver healthy fruits and vegetables to East Boston families through a partnership with Fair Foods and distributing partners who operate food markets with us.
Working with the Housing Defense Coalition and NuLaw Lab we have now piloted the only housing defense station in East Boston and have housing helpers supporting housing assistance applications.
Our workforce development services support people to become gainfully employed and economically stable.
