Your gift will help launch and sustain the Grab & Go Produce Market and Economic Mobility Hub in East Boston — a community-powered model that brings affordable fresh produce, job connections, benefits navigation, and support services closer to families facing rising food and economic insecurity.
MLCS impact
in Greater Boston
MLCS is working with a last mile distribution network in Greater Boston and is moving nearly 60,000 lbs of plant-based based produce and artisan bread though these networks representing communities in East Boston, Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, Roslindale, Quincy, and soon will be expanding networks in Everett, Winthrop, and Revere.
Together, we can nourish families, create jobs, reduce food waste, and build a more stable and hopeful future for our neighbors.
A generous community donor has committed a $150,000 matching challenge to help expand affordable plant base produce access through the new MLCS Grab & Go Produce Hub and neighborhood market network across Boston.
Every dollar donated helps double the impact of rescued fresh food affordable produce bags, and neighborhood distribution for families facing rising food and housing costs.
